How to Clean 4 Types of Shoes Fast

1.Leather, Patent Leather, and Faux Leather Shoes


What You Need: Soft Brush, Dry Soft Cloth, White Vinegar, Water

How to Clean:

  • Put crumpled paper inside before cleaning. Use a soft brush to remove superficial dust.

  • Wiping off shoes with a dry soft cloth dipped in a solution of equal parts cool water and distilled white vinegar. This works particularly well to remove any salt stains.

  • Allow the shoes to air dry completely.

    If shoes and time allowed, apply the shoe oil with a soft cloth, using small circular motions to rub it deep into the leather all over. Attention: Avoid using water to clean your leather shoes.


    2.Suede Upper Shoes

     

    What You Need: Soft Brush, Clean Cloth, Clean Bath Towel, White Vinegar, Eraser

    How to Clean:

    • Put crumpled paperinside before cleaning. Use a soft brush to remove superficial dust.
    • For really tough grime, pour a little white vinegar on a clean cloth and gently wipe the affected areas.
    • Remove stains with a suede eraser or pencil eraser.
    • Rub the surface of your shoes with a clean bath towel. Wipe in the direction of the grain, and avoid any vigorous back-and-forth motions.

    3.Mesh Upper Shoes

     

    What you need: Soft Brush, Baking Soda, White Vinegar, Soft Wet Cloth

    How to Clean:

    • Using a dry brush to remove any excess dirt
    • Mixing together one part baking soda and one part vinegarand letting it sit on the dirty spot for about 15 minutes.
    • Gently scrub for a minute or two, and then wipe clean with a soft wet cloth. Let the shoe air dry.

    4.Knitted Upper Shoes

     

    What You Need: Soft Brush, Mild Bath Soap, Warm Water, Wet Towel, Dry Towel

    How to Clean:

    • Clean the sole with a soft brush.
    • Wet the shoes upper with warm water.Squeeze the soap lather onto the knit upper.
    • Let the soap lather soak in. Then, use a wettowel to blot out the soap lather.
    • Repeat 3 until all visible dirt is removed.
    • Use a dry towel to blot dry any areas that are still visibly wet, and let air dry.

    5.Maintain Tips for all Shoes

            

    • Clean the dirt in time.
    • Keep away from direct heat and sunlight while drying and storing.
    • Put a shoe stretcher (or just crumpled paper) inside to keep the shoes’
    • Use enclosed shoe cabinets or shoe boxes.
